Your boards and saved Pins say a lot about your taste, from dream homes to favorite styles. You can request a copy of your Pinterest data with a single button.

On your phone (app)

  1. Open the Pinterest app and tap your profile picture in the bottom right.
  2. Tap your profile picture again in the top left to open your settings.
    • On a business account, tap the ⋯ icon in the top right and select Settings.
  3. Tap Privacy and data.
  4. Tap Request your data.
  5. Tap Start request.

On the web

  1. Go to pinterest.com and log in.
  2. Click the more options icon in the bottom left and select Settings.
  3. Click Privacy and data.
  4. Under Request your data, click Start request.

Tip: Pinterest sends the file to the email address on your account. Make sure you can access that inbox before you start.

Which options to choose

  • Format: Nothing to choose; Pinterest prepares the file in its own format. You just start the request.
  • Date range and categories: Nothing to choose; Pinterest sends all your account data (profile, boards, Pins, searches) in one file.
  • That makes Pinterest the easiest platform: just tap Start request.

When the file arrives

  • Pinterest emails a download link within 48 hours to the address on your account. The link comes through SendSafely, Pinterest’s secure file transfer provider, so an email from SendSafely is expected.
  • Click the link and download the file. The link only works for a limited time, so don’t wait too long.
  • Don’t unzip it. Go to scrolltwin.com/en/upload and drop the ZIP as-is.

Note: We are still adding support for reading Pinterest files. You can request your file now and upload it once support is ready. Meanwhile you can upload your Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Spotify or X data.

FAQ

Are my messages uploaded? No. The file is opened inside your browser and messages are never read. Only a summary of interests from your boards and Pins leaves your device.

Is the link in the email safe? Pinterest officially delivers data through SendSafely. Still, only click an email that matches when you made the request, and if in doubt, log in to Pinterest and check your request there.

It’s been 48 hours and no email. Check spam and promotions folders. It can occasionally take a few more days. If it still doesn’t arrive, start the request again in settings.

The file is big. Pinterest data is usually small. Even if it’s big, that’s fine — processing happens on your device and the file isn’t sent over the internet.
